Last month, the Bozzuto family hosted their 2014 Dream Ride to benefit the Special Olympics. The Bozzutos own Bozzuto’s Inc., a family-owned, leading total service wholesale distributor which was established in 1945 in Connecticut. Bozzuto’s Inc. is one of my partners for Rockin’ & Roastin’ and their community works are thoroughly impressive.
For thousands of Special Olympics athletes, Dream Ride is a unique opportunity to receive recognition for their achievements and efforts to overcome intellectual challenges, shatter stereotypes and celebrate with the entire community in a unique way. For over 13 years, Dream Ride has donated an impressive $2,245,000 to Special Olympics.
This year’s three-day event was hosted from August 22-24 in Farmington, CT, and we donated fresh brewed coffee to event-goers. My Rockin’ & Roastin’ business partner, Frank Cimler, and brewing partner, Steve Beattie, joined thousands of spectators and participants and they also had the chance to catch up with Thomas Haggai, Chairman of the Board for Independent Grocers Alliance. (This guy is a big deal in the grocer industry worldwide!)

So glad we had a chance to be a part of this event and to get the participants and their families Rockin’ & Roastin’! It is a great cause and I highly recommend checking out their website to see how you might be able to get involved. Looking forward to next year’s event, Bozzutos!
Rock On, Roast On.
