As you may know, I am a huge supporter of music and arts programs for today’s youth. Music has always been my therapy, and I think it’s such a great tool for kids to learn at any early age.
My next announcement comes to you from Sidney, ME: We’re now Rockin’ & Roastin’ with Snow Pond Center for Arts! Since 1937, talented young musicians have been coming to this nationally acclaimed camp to experience the splendor of a Maine summer and learn from some of the nation’s top music performers, conductors, and educators.
And what will keep them fueled, aside from adrenaline? My Rockin’ & Roastin’ java.
The Snow Pond Center for the Arts is taking their support of young adults and music one step further with the opening of the Snow Pond Arts Academy, Maine’s only free public performing arts charter high school that integrates the power of the arts with a rigorous academic experience. The Academy aims to transform students’ lives and contribute to the cultural capital of central Maine by providing a high quality, comprehensive, college preparatory academic and arts education in an inclusive, nurturing, and culturally rich environment for high school students. Located on a 40 acre campus on Messalonskee Lake (aka Snow Pond) in Sidney, the picturesque setting provides the ideal environment for learning.
I’m so proud to be partnering with an organization that shares my same passions. Always remember how important it is to give back to your community, and support the causes most dear to you.
To the Snow Pond team: Thank you for Rockin’ & Roastin’ with me, and keep up the great work!
Rock On, Roast On.
